GitHub now redirects that repository identity to repository ID 708065676, which is the current ZellRaihan/Jenny-Mod repository. The matching release assets exist under the current repository. JennyGamee has not changed those download destinations.
What “Java”, “PC”, “1.12.2” and “Forge” mean
These terms describe different parts of the same setup. “PC” usually refers to running Minecraft Java Edition on a desktop or laptop; “1.12.2” is the Minecraft version this guide focuses on; and Forge is the mod loader used for this setup.
Before installing
- Use Minecraft Java Edition, not Bedrock Edition.
- Confirm that your Minecraft installation matches the version required by the file.
- Use a compatible Forge build for that Minecraft version.
- Back up important worlds before changing a modded profile.
- Keep Java .jar files separate from Bedrock .mcpack/.mcaddon packages.
Install on PC with Forge
- Install and launch Minecraft Java 1.12.2 at least once.
- Install a Forge client build made for Minecraft 1.12.2.
- Start Minecraft with the Forge profile once, then close the game.
- Open the Minecraft mods folder.
- Place
Jenny-Mod-Forge-1.12.2-v1.9.0.jarin the mods folder. - Launch the same Forge profile and confirm the mod is detected before opening an important world.
Compatibility: what we can and cannot claim
The currently linked Java file is explicitly labelled for Minecraft 1.12.2 and Forge. Do not assume it works with Minecraft 1.16.5, 1.20, 1.21 or another version unless a separate package made for that exact game and loader version is identified. A matching filename and release record establish package identity; they do not replace an actual compatibility test.
Java vs Bedrock/mobile
Java mods and Bedrock add-ons are not interchangeable. If you use Minecraft Bedrock, Pocket Edition, Android, iPhone or iPad, use the Bedrock & mobile guide instead.
Troubleshooting
Game does not start
Check that Minecraft, Forge and the mod file target the same version. Remove unrelated mods temporarily to isolate conflicts.
Mod is not detected
Confirm that the .jar is inside the active profile’s mods folder and that Minecraft is launching through Forge rather than the vanilla profile.
Downloaded file is not a .jar
Do not rename a Bedrock package into a .jar. Return to the edition selector and use the package intended for your Minecraft edition.
